Anne’s interview at TIP for 18 years.

At TIP, what is your role and that of your sales colleagues?

Contrary to popular belief, we don’t just answer the phone or enter price offers and orders. We are a real duo with our colleagues in the field technical and sales engineers  and we ensure the daily follow-up of customer and prospect files. Our role is essential; we ensure the proper processing of the customer order from its creation to the final delivery of the product.

In short, we are the permanent link between the customer, the field, the internal services and production.

Why is the technical sales engineer/sales assistant duo so important at TIP?

Because an industrial marking project is not just a simple purchase. Our colleagues are present in the field to understand the needs, analyze the technical constraints and propose the best solutions. For our part, we take over on a daily basis to ensure that each piece of information is processed, verified and transmitted to the right people.

This complementarity allows us to offer our customers a responsive, rigorous and personalized follow-up.

What is your mission with the customer?

We have a fairly broad role in reality

In particular, we can:

  • Welcome and understand the customer’s needs during the first telephone contact before forwarding it to the technical sales representative
  • Establish price offers
  • Fully manage order renewals
  • Answer questions related to manufacturing or delivery times
  • Ensure the administrative and commercial follow-up of files
  • Coordinate exchanges with the various internal departments

My objective is simple: to allow the customer to quickly obtain the necessary information while guaranteeing the fluidity of the processing of his needs.

How does an order become a production record at TIP?

Once the order has been received, it is transformed into a complete manufacturing file for our production teams from the methods department to the packaging/shipping department.

Each element is checked with precision before any start of production in order to guarantee the conformity of the file: references, visuals, quantities, materials, packaging, specific requirements, variable data, deadlines, etc. All these checkpoints are derived from our ISO9001 standard, which is one of the pillars in company.

At TIP, nothing is left to chance.

And in the future, we will further improve our skills with the implementation of AI.

Why is this rigor so important?

Because in industrial marking, the final quality depends above all on the quality of the information retrieved by the field and the way in which it is transmitted to the various internal departments. A well-prepared file helps to avoid errors, secure deadlines and ensure that the delivered product perfectly meets the customer’s expectations. Our role is therefore essential in the quality of service that has made TIP’s reputation and DNA for almost 50 years.

What sets the ADV TIP team apart?

Experience.

Our team has an average seniority of nearly 20 years. This represents thousands of cases handled, hundreds of customers supported and in-depth knowledge of our businesses, our processes and our products. This experience allows us to anticipate needs, quickly identify the right solutions and respond effectively to daily demands.

A last word?

At TIP, when you talk to one of us, you talk to an experienced professional who knows your case, your history and the requirements of your business.

A word from the sales service manager:

Discreet but indispensable, they are one of the pillars of our organization. And while our products are visible on our customers’ production lines, part of their success is built every day in the offices of our sales department.
