Contourless industrial transfer, the invisible alternative to direct printing

In many industrial sectors, the aesthetics and precision of marking have become as strategic as technical performance. Traditional dry decals are usually encapsulated between transparent technical layers. While this technology guarantees robustness and durability, it does leave a thin transparent outline around the image. For some markets, this detail was no longer acceptable.

Our customers asked us for an alternative that could replace direct printing while retaining the technical advantages of industrial transfer printing.

A new standard: transfer without visible edges 

With TRANSTIP 892 (glossy) and TRANSTIP 893 (matt), we have developed an innovative transfer technology with no visible edges.

The result :

✔ Visual rendering as close as possible to direct printing

✔ A uniform finish with no visible film

The effect is immediate: the design appears to be printed directly onto the piece.

 

Why remove the outline?

In certain demanding markets — cosmetics, premium equipment, high-end technical devices — visual perception is crucial.

Even a very thin transparent outline can  :

  • Breaking the ‘direct printing’ effect
  • Create a break in gloss on smooth surfaces
  • Be visible from certain angles or under certain lighting conditions
