In industry, every cent counts. Yet many companies continue to order their markings on a product-by-product, SKU-by-SKU basis, without always taking full advantage of the optimization opportunities offered by their supplier.
At TIP, we regularly offer our customers batch production when their organizational structure and production volumes allow it.
What Is Amalgam/Groupe production batch?
Amalgam involves grouping multiple SKUs, variants, or versions of the same product into a single production run. Instead of launching a separate production run for each item, multiple markings are produced simultaneously during a single production cycle.
This method contrasts with traditional “per-item” manufacturing, where each SKU incurs its own setup costs and requires its own production run.
Why does TIP recommend this solution?
Because it significantly optimizes production costs while improving supply visibility.
By consolidating the requirements for multiple SKUs into a single production run, it is possible to:
✔ Reduce unit costs
✔ Optimize production times
✔ Limit launch costs
✔ Secure supply
✔ Gain better visibility into future needs
For companies that regularly use industrial markings, the savings can be particularly significant over a 6- to 12-month period.
What are the requirements to benefit from this?
However, this consolidation requires some advance planning.
To be effective, the customer must be able to estimate future consumption with reasonable accuracy, ideally over a six-month to one-year horizon.
This visibility allows TIP to develop an optimized production plan and consolidate different product lines into a single production run.
A New Habit, Real Benefits
For new customers, this approach sometimes requires a change in how they operate. It calls for more planning than a typical one-time order.
But once implemented, it becomes a real driver of performance: lower costs, fewer administrative burdens, better inventory control, and greater peace of mind in supply chain management.
At TIP, our role isn’t just to manufacture your industrial markings. It’s also to support you in finding solutions that sustainably improve your competitiveness.

Tip from TIP:
If you already know your annual or semi-annual consumption levels, let our teams know. A consolidated analysis can sometimes generate significant savings while securing your supply for the coming year.
